Beatenberg
Beatenberg is the folk-pop trio of Capetonian friends Matthew Field, Ross Dorkin and Robin Brink. Forming in 2009, the group performed a number of shows that received positive feedback from the public and industry, and recorded the album Farm Photos.
The band has been on hiatus, with frontman Matthew Field attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. However, with Matthew temporarily in the country in the summer of 2010/2011, the group has taken up performing again and, signing with Rhythm Records' imprint Rebel Records, are set to finally release Farm Photos, their debut album. Their songs "Lost In Translation" and "in B Flat" have also been included on the Rebel Records compilations South African Acoustic Volume 1 and South African Rock, Pop & Dance Vol. 1, alongside the likes of BLK JKS, Gazelle, and aKING. They plan to embark on a nationwide tour later in 2011.
