The Dollfins, In My Head
The Dollfins have just released their music video debut. Directed by Young Galaxies, the collective of of Anja Venter, Anke Loots and Xander Vander, the video features the garage rock trio in the Cape Town City Bowl’s now-derelict and condemned San Remo house.
The Dollfins have yet to play at The Assembly, but two of their members – David Gabriel Thorpe and frontwoman Danielle Hitchcock – have made a number of appearances with Beach Party, another promising young band that’s a favourite of ours. In related Beach Party news, Thorpe and keys player Andy Islands have formed yet another side-project, the synthpop duo Gateway Drugs, releasing the song ‘Airwaves’ earlier this week.
